Kent Rodricks - The Reason We're All Here!
Writer, producer and star KENT RODRICKS (pictured with co-directors Clarissa Jacobson and Shayna Weber), is an award-winning screenwriter, known for Bananas Foster and Norm. Despite being born with Osteogenesis imperfecta, the brittle bone disease, nothing stops him from living life with an unquenchable zeal for adventure. In 2004, he started dabbling with screenwriting (ironically, the screenplay for Butts was the first thing he wrote) and began splitting his time between San Diego and Hollywood, eventually finding his way into Twin Bridges Screenwriting Salon and making his acting debut in the award-winning short film Lunch Ladies.

CLARISSA JACOBSON recently sold a horror feature - Bruha - that she wrote with Shayna Weber to Anaga Media Productions and is also the writer, producer, and creator of the multi-award-winning comedy/horror short - Lunch Ladies which won forty-three awards and is distributed all over the world. In addition, Clarissa wrote the book – I Made A Short Film Now WTF Do I Do With It. She has also spoken about short film promotion at numerous festivals acroand been invited to be a juror. SHAYNA WEBER started out assisting in casting for music videos in the early 2000’s where she would often jump out of the car and ambush cool-looking strangers on the street to be extras. After that, Shayna began a 15-year deep dive into human psychology and behavior by producing unscripted television. Her roster of shows include: So You Think You Can Dance, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Weakest Link, and the Miss Universe Pageants. Shayna also produced on the award-winning, horror/comedy, Lunch Ladies, and then directed its follow up, A Very Important Film. Co-written with Clarissa, she recently sold the script Bruha to Anaga Media Productions.
JOE BRATCHER started his career as a Broadway actor/dancer. In Hollywood, he enjoyed a lucrative career as a writer of TV movies of the week, and episodic shows. As an educator, he taught screenwriting for the U.C.L.A. Ext. Writer’s Program for eight years then went on to co-create (with his wife, Judy Farrell) the Twin Bridges
Screenwriting Workshop – 35 years and counting, mentoring countless highly successful writers. Bratcher has produced and co-produced numerous independent features including Standing Bear with Mike Farrell/Valerie Redhorse, Lunch Ladies, A Very Important Film, and Geno Marx's Don’t Look Now.
SHAWNA CHANCE is an Emmy-nominated television producer, screenwriter and member of the Producers Guild of America. Specializing in documentary and non-scripted formats she has produced acclaimed projects for YouTuber Mr. Beast, the Magnolia Network, National Geographic, and the TLC show, Toddlers & Tiaras. Beyond television, Shawna channels her artistic flair into designing jewelry, which has been worn at the Oscars and was exclusively featured in Rian Johnson’s film, Brick. Shawna continues to push boundaries in entertainment, blending her storytelling prowess with a keen eye for cultural resonance.
ANTONI MAIRATA is an award-winning composer from Spain and a Fulbright grantee. He holds a degree in Composition from the Royal Conservatory of Madrid, a Master's in Screen Scoring from USC, and completed UCLA's Film Scoring program, earning the 2019 BMI/Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship. His portfolio includes feature films, TV series, documentaries, and short films produced in the US and Europe. Additionally, Antoni's passion for music goes beyond the film industry; his concert music has premiered at Spain's National Auditorium and the International Festival of Classical Theatre in Merida.
GENO MARX is a writer and director of Indian/Sri Lankan descent. At age twelve, he won the Young Author’s Contest, planting the seed of Hollywood dreams. After moving to Los Angeles from Chicago and working as an editor and videographer, his world was turned upside down with the birth of his two sons. Today, Geno writes stories that speak to his experiences and the pain of dysfunctional families, broken relationships, and overcoming adversity. He recently completed the groundbreaking comedy TV pilot called Don’t Look Now featuring low vision actors.
CHRIS EKSTEIN, is an award-winning director of photography, graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and received his MFA from the American Film Institute, where his 35mm thesis received the prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Grant. He is also the recipient of the Panavision New Film Maker Award. Chris has been a cinematographer on award-winning projects Mexican Sunrise (Gold Award-WorldFest) and Callous (Best Picture-IndieFest) and shot the theatrically released basketball documentary Gunnin For That #1 Spot. Chris is a founding partner of Market Street Productions.
ANGELA WONG, is a producer, director and editor at Start to Finish Media Company and is an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker, commercial director and photographer in San Diego, CA. She enjoys millennial things like dogs, touching grass, and political revolutions. In her spare time, she cares for her aging dogs and makes time to go to the beach.
